How to classify oil casing?

According to the strength of steel itself, casing can be divided into different grades, namely J55K55N80L80C90T95P110Q125V150. Wellbore condition and depth are different, and the steel grade used is also different. In corrosive environment, casing itself is required to have corrosion resistance. Where geological conditions are complex, casing is also required to have collapse resistance.

 

Petroleum special pipes are mainly used for drilling oil and gas wells and oil and gas transportation. Including oil drilling pipe, oil casing, pumping pipe. Oil drill pipe is mainly used to connect drill collar and bit and transfer drilling power. Oil casing is mainly used to support the wellbore during drilling and after completion to ensure the normal operation of the whole well. The pumping pipe mainly conveys oil and gas from the bottom of the well to the ground.

 

Oil casing is the lifeline to maintain oil well operation. Because of the different geological conditions, the stress state of underground is complex, and the comprehensive action of tension, compression, bending and torsion stresses acts on the pipe body, which puts forward higher requirements for the quality of casing itself. Once the casing itself is damaged for some reason, it may lead to production reduction or even abandonment of the whole well.
